In light of new SAT scores...

So, I just received OCT. SAT scores and they were not so good.

70 pt. decline in writing (740->670)
40 pt. decline in math (620->580)
10 pt. increase in reading (730->740)

= 100 pt. decrease overall (2090->1990)

I have a 32 composite on the ACT (36 lang, 30 sci, 28 math, 34 read)

I'm applying to Colorado College, Whitman College, U of Puget Sound, Willamette U, and Lewis and Clark College. I'm potentially interested in applying to Princeton (legacy=a bonus), Carleton College, and Bowdoin.

Should I retake SAT (and study like crazy!), or am I pretty safe with the scores that I already have? My grades are all very good, taking hard courses, good extracurriculars.

Any advice?

A 32 on the ACT is comparable to a 1420 (V+M).
According to <a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/sat/cbsenior/html/stat00f.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/sat/cbsenior/html/stat00f.html</a></p>

The ACT would look much better than your sat scores. A 32 is right in the range of most top schools.

your SAT is actually good for your first list of colleges, re-take for the others thought.... well you probably knew that lol

WHy would you retake the SAT's? ALl of the colleges you mention take the SAT or the ACT...Bowdoin doesn't require test scores. Just send your ACT and be done with it. I am applying to CC, WHitman and L&C as well.CC=Ed/ L&C/EA and Whitman regular...unless I don't get in to CC early. SOunds liek we are pretty similiar..where are u from?

doesn't princeton still prefer the sat?
