IN my Junior year is it worth transferring to change my major?

Hi I go to Florida Tech and study Aerospace Engineering, I want to go to grad school to get a ph.d in archeology, is it worth transferring my senior year to get a BA in archeology at another school. I hate engineering and have a real passion for histry and cultures. Please give me some advice
thanks

Maybe.

Back in the last century I finished a liberal arts degree, and then went back to school at my home-state public u in order to take the undergraduate courses that I needed for grad school in agriculture. If you truly hate what you are doing now, and have a very clear sense of what you want to be doing, and that program is not available at your current university, then transferring is the right thing to do.

I'm in the same boat as you, ghost. I am not enjoying my major at my school right now, and 3/4 of the majors I am now most interested are not even remotely offered at my university.

Junior means you have a lot of credits. What schools were you thinking of transferring to?

thanks happymomo
i recieved similar advie the other day about finishing and then goiing to public university back home where its cheaper
thanks man

Is it possible you can apply to the grad school without switching majors? I know plenty of people who got graduate degrees in different subjects than their majors.

thats what i decided on

thanks magitf
can't wait to finally finsh with engineering and do something i really love!
