In need of reassurance or a reality check

<p>I just got my SAT II scores and I'm very unhappy with my Lit score - 700 (although I got a 750 in USH). I must've mis-bubbled the sheet at one point, because I remember walking out of the test confident that I'd gotten close to 800, if not that. Anyway, I really, really do no want to take any more SAT IIs this fall, and since I got a 700 as opposed to in the 600-range, my question is this: does Wesleyan put that much weight on SAT IIs, for an applicant who is in or above the GPA and SAT I range? I know I could always retake the Lit without much preparation, but I'm going to be swamped come fall and the October SAT date is not on my list of priorities right now. :-(</p>

<p>Grr, I'm frustrated. My application would be otherwise pristine if not for this. Maybe I'm just neurotic, but I'm very worried that the adcoms are going to be very picky with the influx of applications expected this year.</p>

<p>gg0624: I wouldnt put it near the top of the priority list. Improving an SAT II score by 50-75 points isn't going to get you over the fence if admissions places you on it. If your other "numbers" are solid, like GPA and SAT I, don't worry about it. </p>

<p>I also have a 750 on US hist, 2240 total for the SAT 1. I have a terrible spanish score which they will unfortunately see as well.</p>

<p>700 is totally fine. Also, if that's the lower of your SATII scores, that's even more absolutely fine. But if you're worried, there's no harm in taking it again except the extra fee.</p>

<p>you can pay like twenty bucks to have it re scored by hand.</p>

<p>if there is a consistent pattern of each bubble being the right answer for the question before the questions its bubbled for they may up your grade.</p>

<p>I'd say that it shouldn't matter, but it might help, especially if you plan on majoring in either English or History. Also, high SAT Subject Test scores might help you a little bit should you choose to apply to other schools.</p>
