i got into uga honors and (paid for) georgia tech. most adults told me gt was better for jobs and such, and since my interests are semi liberal-artsy (like business), i can work straight out of undergrad w/o going to grad school. in that case, i figured school reputation mattered more than grades.
but theres something tugging at uga, and i really love that place even though i know the name doesnt carry much outside of the south. i was told to be practical for my career, since everyone knows i cant wait to leave the south.
basically, should i put my life after college before my college experience, or the other way around? which one should i choose?

I’ll be completely honest and admit that I know very little about the specifics of these schools. The main thing you have to ask yourself is where will you be happy? If you’re miserable, your grades will reflect that. One of the key mistakes that a lot of people make is that they believe they will only be happy at one school. It’s simply not true. You’ll make some great friends and some great memories no matter where you go to school. If you won’t be happy at GT, then why go? But a better question would be…how do you know you won’t love it? The truth is that you can’t know. Choose the school that feels right for you…if you’re wrong then transfer. Life moves on and it’s certainly too short to throw four of the best years of your life away. Good luck and I hope this rant helped!
