lol sunshowers I got one 5 three 4s one 3 and one 1. I knew I’d only get credit for Calc though so its the only one I studied for haha (the 5). The 3 and 1 are self studies that I realized I wouldnt get credit for so ended up not studying for rofl

lmao to Michael2010 & ChoklitRain–those responses were my personal fav.

i also love:aigiqinf–You have a better chance of being rejected from a school because you posted this thread and they traced your IP address than you do of getting rejected because of 4’s.
i have this thought, as well, every time some one posts a question like this :|

also:yo, ChasingStarlight. you’re lucky to have gotten the few decent responses that u have gotten. isn’t it obvious by now that this entire thread has been made into a bit of a joke…?

As Michael said you should not worry. If you can’t make it to Brown and Columbia through the front door, you can always apply to clean the toilet in the school’s dormitories. Either way, you will end up where you want.

You might consider applying early because these jobs get full fast with this bad economy

my reactions to 4s have ranged from ecstatic to really really miffed this year.

I got 4s on spanish lang and Calc A/B.

I was really happy to get a 4 on spanish because it’s something i’ve struggled with for a long time, but it’s something i;ve worked honestly in (as opposed to putting everything through a translator and copying the hw like everyone else) and wanted to show competency in it.

Calc is the first math class i have ever gotten an A in, and i found the exam really easy. I was really angry to get a 4 because i thought i did so much better.
I was also miffed about my 4 in English Lit because I was hoping to prove that even though I have struggled in my very difficult english class, i was very good at it, relatively.

being miffed at a 4 is not unreasonable if it is an exam you wanted to do really well in. you certainly shouldn’t consider it the end of the world and should recognise that a 4 gets the same treatment as a 5 in credit awarding at many top schools, and that AP scores are not very highly weighted.

Crying over a 4 is ridiculous.

4s will get you credit and at least higher placement at most universities. If 4s are good enough to count as college courses, they definitely won’t hurt you.
