Does anyone know the criteria or timeframe for Clemson Univeristy to grant an out of state student in state tuition.

You need to be “domiciled” in SC. You are presumed throughout your college time to be domiciled in the state where your parents live if you are in any way dependent on them.

To avoid the above you need to (a) be independent of your parents – they can’t be paying for anything of significance such as tuition, living expense, books – and supporting yourself (meaning you really need to be working), and (b) be independent while living in SC for at least one continuous year year.

Clemson also grants in-state tuition rates to high achieving OOS students. I think you can find the specifics on their website. Also check out the Clemson CC forum. There has been chatting about this lately.

^^^

This is true, but I don’t see any stats req’ts on the Clemson website in order to know with any assurance that a student could get a scholarship to cover the OOS portion of tuition.

Does anyone know what stats an OOS student would likely need to get such a scholarship? I’m guessing like a 32 ACTor 1400 SAT. But, I don’t know.
