Include HEALTH in GPA?

When we calculate our GPA we don't include health right? even if we happened to get an A in it which boosted our academic GPA by like .05 (I got an A in it...but it was unweighted and was only worth .25 credits since it was only 4 weeks long.)

In other words, even if the GPA at the bottom of the transcript includes health in it, should we recalculate our GPA WITHOUT health included?

Also, if a summer school class I took before freshman year appears on my transcript and is a part of my GPA...can I recalculate my GPA without it? Because I got a B in it and it lowered my "transcript GPA."

Well, you should ask your school. Everyone's different, like for me, health and that summer school class would both count.

You don't calculate your GPA. Your school does. You put down on your application exactly what it says on your transcript, or exactly what your GC tells you. Otherwise, the disconnect between your application and your transcript will raise red flags. The School Profile will tell the colleges how your GPA was calculated and what classes are included or excluded.

Then if the colleges want to recalculate your GPA according to their standards, they will.

Where do you put the GPA in the common application? I did not see it. For the UC, I thought it states, a-g subject and that means no health.

if hte class you took after 8th grade was a high school class for credit, then, yes, you must include it. Of course, if it was driver's ed, or some other non-academic class, you do not.

btw: Colleges only care about academic classes, and health is not one of them.
