Incoming freshman, does not have 12 units yet.

Needless to say, I got dropped from my Chem class a while back because I didn't switch to Bio as my major yet. Thing is, this means I now have 9 units. When's the next time I can add classes so I don't lose my financial aid for not being a full time student? Thanks in advance.

check you pass time on Gold. Pass 3 on my account states this:

Registration Pass 3: 9/22/2009 10:45 AM - 12/4/2009 6:30 PM

They just sent me a message on Gold on how find space in classes, so you might want to read that too, since it’s probably difficult getting anything at this time.

I’ll just post it here:

“In this difficult financial environment, as Pass 3 starts many students will be anxious about finding additional classes, either a class they need to fulfill a requirement or to complete a full course load. I would like to share with you some suggestions that might help as you search for classes for fall. * Use all the tools in GOLD to search for open spaces. GOLD has advanced search tools that can help you find space in classes at particular times and days and to satisfy various requirements. * If you are having difficulty getting a particular class, check whether there is information on the course web site or on the Department’s web site about crashing. Many departments now have on-line waiting lists - please use them! * Work with departmental advisers. They are experts and know all there is to know about availability in their departments’ classes and how students can enroll. However, they are not miracle workers so please treat them with respect and don’t vent any frustration on them. * Look for classes at the extreme ends of the days - enrollment in early morning and evening classes may be easier. * Be flexible - you may not get the exact class you want but, unless you are genuinely in your last ever quarter at UCSB, there are almost certainly classes you can take that will satisfy some requirement - even if it’s not exactly what you had planned. * Be responsible about dropping classes you don’t intend to take. Please don’t drop a class until you are sure you have a replacement, but if you don’t think you will take the class please drop it and give other students the opportunity to take it…”

i thought all the pass times were the same
mine is: 9/21/2009 9:30 AM - 12/4/2009 6:30 PM

Honor students and people with higher standings get to have earlier pass time. In fact, the honor students are probably picking/switching/dropping classes right now. I’ve noticed a few classes that are opening up.

^unknown person.
But earlier pass time they get is pass 1, not pass 3. I think pass 3 is randomly assigned. Because my friends got 9/14 and I got 9/21. None of them are honor students.

Doesn’t pass time 3 depend on when you signed up for classes at orientation?
