Incoming Freshman FA Negotiation

I was recently accepted to NYU Stern, an amazing business school of course. What doesn't add up, as I expect doesn't for most people, is the amount of aid offered. Right now the cost is pretty much unfeasible for myself or my family to pay. I have been accepted to a few other business schools, but they would probably be a bit "below" the Stern standard/name in the realm of undergraduate business schools. What I'd like to know, is if anyone has successfully managed to negotiate for more financial aid (grants/scholarships) after producing additional financial documents for NYU to consider. The prospect of it happening are probably quite slim, but I'd like to give it a chance, or hear from some people, before I have to completely cross Stern off my list.

Thanks.

To my knowledge, appeals on FA are not allowed.

You may talk to FA Office Personnel by phone and possibly they will give you $1000-3000 more. Not anything more substantial.

However, NYU will consider a written appeal if your family circumstances have changed substantially since the filing of your FAFSA in 2/11, due to unemployment, loss of income due to disability, death of a parent/ spouse, divorce of a parent, excessive medical and dental expenses, etc. You fill out the Professional Judgment Form:
