Is the test transferable? Can you take the test at UW-Whitewater and have the scores count for UW-Madison?

I think so. Most Wisconsin residents take it somewhere near them in spring, as far as I’m aware. Usually only out-of-state people take the tests at SOAR.

Yes, it’s the same tests. Each campus may use the results somewhat differently though. The two year campuses also offer them.

What is SOAR?
I love out of state.

That’s why the internet is such a valuable tool:

Do you to commit to UW before taking the exam?

There are 3 tests: Math, English and language. Here’s the link to the program:

https://testing.exams.wisc.edu/regionaltesting/registration.php

They start the 2nd half of March. You can take the test without having committed,

kxc, all Wisconsin Universities require the placement testing.

There are sample exams on the placement test website. Nice to have a chance to look them over before the real thing.

I haven’t confirmed my enrollment (waiting on financial aid/$) and I can’t access my SOAR registration on the MyUW site. So can I still make a reservation for the placement tests even if I haven’t enrolled?

I believe that you could make a spring placement test reservation even if you haven’t enrolled. But if you are out of state, you would just take the placement tests when you come to Madison for SOAR.
