Incoming international transfer (Australia): Which housing option should I choose?!

I've decided to try on-campus housing, and now I need to give my list of preferences so I can be assigned a room.
I start in Fall 2012 and I'll be doing Communication/Journalism/Media courses (on which campus are those classes usually held by the way?)

My choices are:
Silvers Apartments on Busch Campus
Livingston Apartments on Livingston Campus
Newell on Cook Campus
Starkey on Cook Campus
University Center at Easton Avenue on College Ave Campus

I'd prefer something modern/renovated, fairly busy with some decent parties (where are the frat houses?), and close to town/train station as I might have to go into Manhattan on a regular basis.

I would reeeally appreciate it if you could hep out, I have no idea where to start, thanks!

Those classes are typically on College Ave, but University Center is (ironically) really out of the way. Well, maybe not THAT far, but it is slightly off campus and not very close to any academic buildings. It is pretty close to the train station though. College Ave is also where the frat houses and good parties are, but it’s easy enough to take a bus over to them.

I would recommend the Livingston Apartments, but I’m fairly sure they’re all taken up. They are literally brand new (not even finished being built yet). Don’t know much about the two Cook options. Silvers are pretty good.

Is the station near University Center one that would take me all the way into NYC?

Yep. Not the nicest station by any means, but it goes to Manhattan.
