I have seen different opinions on a subject and would like to ask here regarding putting summer internship information on a resume now. It seems that lately it became a norm for college students to do so if student signed contract and committed to the internship. The internship is with a well recognizable company.
It seems quite premature to me to put it on in December. A lot can happen between December and June, even if there is a contract signed already. I’ve never put internships or other employment held during college down until I started (exception: as a grader, what course I grade for changes from semester to semester, and I might know a few months in advance the plans for the next semester, so I’ll list it).
I generally agree with the above, but am curious what is prompting you to put it on your resume now. If there is a reason, there may be other options.
Why put it on your resume now if you already have an internship. Unless you’re planning on applying to other ones. In that case that looks very poorly since you’re essentially showing the new company you’re not loyal.
