I reviewed my High School Transcript again when I sent my SIR to UCSD. When I looked at my grades on the Transcript, it said I received a C in Pre-calculus honors and a B in CP English 3 during my second semester of Junior year. On my UC App, I had put that I received a B Pre-calculus honors and an A in CP English 3 (both second semester), because I thought that my teachers rounded up my borderline grades (obviously they didn't).
Throughout High School, I maintained A's for almost every single class (except AP Biology: I got C's in that), GPA: 4.15 Weighted, and am in the top 10% in my school, 2170 SAT, etc. I'm not sure if these things matter, though, if UCSD just thinks I'm a cheating kid who put false grades on his UC App just to get into the school (which I'm not: I legitly wasn't aware of these grades until like now).
I've already been accepted to UCSD provisionally and am now VERY concerned that they might rescind my acceptance after seeing my Final High School Transcript's "inconsistencies."
I have already e-mailed the admissions staff informing them about this mistake, and I took the responsibility for the mistake. Is there anything else I can do? What do you guys think will happen?

Can anyone please help me? I don’t want to sound desperate, but perhaps that’s exactly how I am.
I understand that they still have a right to rescind my admission after reading my honest mistake, because all-in-all, it can still be (mis)interpreted as an attempt to fabricate false grades. But considering the other areas of my application (My SAT score, Overall GPA, class rank, etc.) how likely would it be for them to pardon the mistake? Please, any answers are welcome.

Well, it looks really bad. You had mistakes on your junior year grades and they were pretty serious. Those 2 extra grade points would have influenced your UC GPA and could have even been the difference between admission and rejection. It might be different if the grades you reported were lower than the actual, but that’s not the case. It’s good that you notified them early on. I have no idea of how rescinding works and whether they give you a chance to explain your side, but while filling out the UC app, you inevitably had to confirm like 8 times that the information in the app is completely true. I know that they give you a chance to explain if you get a D or an F, so maybe they’ll extend that courtesy to you. In general though, the veracity of your application is the part they take most seriously.

I don’t know what to tell you. You will probably get rescinded.

Hey robert,
I also applied to ucsd and I am in the same boat as you. I just did my SIR today and saw that I mistakenly said I got ‘A’ instead of ‘B’ in psychology. Did you hear back from UCSD? did you take any other steps besides emailing UCSD admissions?

Bump, can anyone answer this? I have a friend in the same situation! Thanks.

Don’t you guys look at your transcript before listing your grades on the UC application? You just go from memory?

I actually trippled checked it:( but for some reason missed it. I emailed Ucsd and they said they will review the application with the new gpa.

What’s UCSD’s email address?

admissionsreply@ucsd.edu
Dnt forget to list your application id. Good luck
