Is there any way to improve your chances of getting into Teter? I recognize the stereotypes are just that—stereotypes—but I’m not much of a partyer (rules out NW) and I’m not going to Jacobs (rules out SE). I would really love a great location and I’ve read that Teter is one of the best. I’m not going into Hutton Honors, but was wondering if my first choice roommate was going into Hutton Honors, could I hitch a ride (sounds bad, but whatever). I know you can only request neighborhoods, so any tips/suggestions?
You’ll probably get it, EVERYONE applies to NW. Just put it as your top choice and maybe leave a side note in the application where it says “is there anything you would like us to know about you”. SE is a good balance too and TBH, I don’t see as many Jacobs students as you’d think. It’s a good mix.
You cannot “hitch a ride” by putting down a roommate choice that wants to live on the Honors floor. To live on those floors you must be a Hutton Honors student. Are there any other special floors located in Teter that might interest you? That would be your best bet.
You’ll probably get it. Like Nico said, literally everyone wants Northwest, but at the same time, Central is a lot of people’s alternative. I know this year a lot of people requested Northwest first and Central second but got put in Southeast (which resulted in RPS getting many angry phone calls) but I also know a lot of people who wanted Central and got it. Your best bet is to request an LLC in Teter (I believe there’s an Outdoors one?)
I know that the Outdoor Adventures LLC is in Teter, but I don’t think my roommate wants to do that. She wants to be in the Central Academic Community. But I think that’s in Eigennman. Does anybody know?
