At its May 13 meeting the Board of Directors approved an average increase rate of 3.5% for Dining Plans and 3% for Residence Hall Fees beginning in the Fall. In addition the Student Comprehensive Fee will be reduced from $395 to $375 per semester and the Students Health Service Fee will be decreased from $252 to $227 per semester. Its nice to see at least something going down, albeit just a small amount. No announcement yet on Tuition rate increases.

thanks for the info! holding my breath for tuition increases! Two out of state tuitions is going to be interesting for sure! lol… Thank goodness at least D has a small scholarship. I have to say my D utilized the heath center for the first time just this past week. ( she got a nasty 2nd degree burn on her hand) I am could not be more pleased with the level of care she has received. She’s had 2-3 visits a day, follow up phone calls, medications, detailed instructions for home care and an overall feeling that she can absolutely come in any time of the day or night she needs them. Being in the heathcare field myself I was not sure what to expect from this facility. It was great that she went almost two full years without their need but so great to know how well treated she was when she did need it.

Well UofD guarantees dorm housing for all students… and with the room and board rates they charge it is easy to understand why. The insult to injury is not just the cost, but the fact that a good number of the dorms have no air conditioning and small rooms. You can easily save money moving off campus.
