i did 8 IGCSE's:
i am currently doing 3 alevels, that is in MATH, PHYSICS and BUSINESS.
i have also qualified for the AICE diploma.

i did give the standardized tests, with pretty sad results but here they are;

please suggest additions and explain my chances.
all the data given are an overview of the real me !!
any questions for further analysis are welcome!!

Why don’t you try the ACT?
That SAT1 score doesn’t deserve being sent to colleges!
Try ACT?

Hey,

Your grades are pretty good. But that SAT score, won’t work really. To have a good chance, you need to get that SAT score upto like a 2100.

thnx…
iam not really sure about the ACT, may give SAT1 again…

how about i not give my SAT scores, send my applications??,
and then maybe give SAT1 in january and send the scores as soon as they come??

You have to send ur SAT scores sooner or later but guess you should start working on uur sat’s cuz these scores are really low and u need atleast 2100 to make it to ur college list…
I am not very sure about sending ur scores in jan so wait for more replies on that :)

Sent from my U20i using CC

u think the ACT would be better??
i mean i have heard how sometimes some people
just dont get the SAT and i have also heard the
ACT is no deifferent ??

And crystal, when you say “ur list” do you mean the whole of it??
iam sure ur right when it comes to Upenn and the like…
but i have some pretty sad colleges too…
iam sure going there is not a wise thing to do as id rather stay
in india…
But since im giving alevels and have a good TOEFL…UK would be a good option…
(giving SAt2 in dec by the way hinting at me not wanting to SAT again)

You’re right, you should consider UK since you will be taking A-levels.
As for the ACT vs SAT thing, you have to see that for yourself. Some people do better on the ACT while others prefer the SAT. Colleges don’t generally discriminate between these two tests so don’t fret over that. My advise would be to take a couple of ACT practice tests, you may find some online for free, and then decide which test you’re more compatible with.

I second what idream said.
About the ACT. Take a look at the practice questions on the site. I took the ACT, and I found it a tad bit easier that the SAT. Though, I know people who think otherwise.

Being blunt, with that SAT, the top half of your list is going to be a stretch. However, take that score to around 2000 and you are in at BU. BU is a fantastic college with great stuff around.
