I am a Nepali and am considering completing my undergrad in India. How do they take the students? What are the deadlines and procedures? Please help.
So basically I am a grade 12 student. I originally wanted to pursue a degree in the United States but I don’t see that happening. I started looking into Indian universities and I can’t seem to fully understand how they work. So If could help me understand all the procedures, that would be greaat.

There are a lot of major exams - JEE (for engineering), NEET, AIIMS and JIPMER (for medicine) etc. To register for these exams you’ll just have to go to the individual site and register online.
A lot of universities have their own entrance exams - for example Birla Institute of Technology conducts BITSAT and you will have to register for it from the university website.
Adding to what @InfiniteLibrary said, there are also a lot of programs that don’t require entrance exams and base their admission decisions solely on high school marks, some have GDs and interviews. If you could tell me what you wanted to pursue, could better guide you.
Must Refer these colleges. Here are top colleges in India:
- Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology
