Indiana Class of 2013

no, ive only taken it SAT once. Does that work for the ACT though?

I also got accepted!
3.61 unweighted GPA, 29 on ACT, 5,000 scholarship
(im new to the site...everyone seems to be offering that in their posts, so I did too)
If only I could get one point higher on the ACT... :P
I got into the Hutton Honors College too! Although im not quite clear on what that means for me

Does anyone know anything about the Communications Department and the Hutton Honors College?

Im so excited I found this forum! My brother loved IU, and if we can afford it Im totally going here =] yay!

If you take the ACT more than once, IU will use the highest composite score.

"If you submit more than one set of scores, we'll consider the highest critical reading and math component scores for the SAT or the highest ACT composite. In 2006, the average SAT score for fall admitted freshmen was 1170; the average ACT composite was 26."
Admission Standards: Office of Admissions: Indiana University Bloomington

"We strongly recommend that your juniors register to take both the SAT and the ACT this spring and retake these exams in the early fall of their senior year. IU will combine the highest critical reading and math SAT scores but can only use the highest ACT composite."

hahah...im definitely considering it since i was deferred at UM and UIUC. besides kelley is a great nusiness school!!!

thearcher..did kelley acceptance letter came to u thru mail/ email/ something in ur IUB account like the acceptance one?

HEYY...anyone? bthomp1 mentioned that if our M and CR adds up to 1310 +, then we automatically get $9000??is that true? does it come with ur admission packet?? or does it work only for american citizens??im intl..

Winston, D's scholarship info came with her acceptance packet. In addition to the 1310, you must have a 3.8 or higher GPA. The priority application date was 11/1/08.

I'm not sure if that particular scholarship program is only for US citizens. Somewhere on the international student admission site is says that IU offers merit aid to internationals. A link then takes you to the scholarship site.

Best option--email the correct office, but keep in mind most offices are closed currently due to the semester break.

im guessing my gpa isnt high enough, cuz we dont really use a 4.0 GPA scale here, its kinda weird, i feel that its jus a disadvantage for me. thanks anyways.

dont loose all hope winston c!!! i just got my letter saying im into kelley...about 6 1/2 weeks after i got my acceptance packet from indiana! but i got into kelley so im quite happy...

I got in with ~ 3.95 weighted GPA and 30 ACT. I saw it online a couple of weeks ago, then got the email confirming it last week, but still have yet to receive my admit packet! I know it says 2-4 weeks, but come on! Anyway, I'm really impressed by the numbers of other admitted students, congrats everyone!

I'm so excited, though i'm not sure if i'm going to IUB for sure!

any priority deadline applicant without admission decision yet?

Dare7to7Dream,

I would contact the admissions office to make sure they aren't missing something and still waiting for you to submit it. Otherwise waiting since October 31st doesn't make much sense unless you are really borderline (and even then it is kind of weird).

The contact data is:
Office of Admissions
300 N. Jordan Ave.
Bloomington, IN 47405-1106
Phone: (812) 855-0661
Email: iuadmit@indiana.edu

Best of luck.

YES!!!!!!! I got in!!! Got the email yesterday but checked the inbox just today!!! So happy...
So it was actually the bank statement that was holding my decision for so long!!! (i'm international)
Now, when will i get to know about my scholarships and my decision about Kelley?

The scholarship info will come with the admissions packet they mail you. The Kelley decision, if it is a positive one, will usually arrive two to four weeks after that. They don't contact you at all if the decision is not to give you direct admissions status.

Congratulations!

Thanks... so i will have to wait long again before seeing my admission package... but i don't really mind.... I really hope to get into Kelley.....
btw, does every admitted one get an Indiana scarf in the admission packet or is it just a silly joke?

I got accepted to the Gender Studies PhD program.

3.95 Graduation GPA, 4.00 Major GPA

I'm so happy tears of joy

Are there any other (potential) grad students here?

Well, I would say nearly 50% of my friends are grad students, if that counts :).
