Indiana U. neighborhoods

NE, NW, SE, or central? which are the more popular neighborhoods? which are quieter, any insights? Thanks

I heard Central is better, northeast is good too.

Depends on your major and what kind of neighborhood you want. SE is best for music students, as it is closest to the music school.

What about Psychology?

Is there a map on the IU website that shows where the different departments are? I'm not sure, but you might check. Or just find the address of the Psychology department and locate that on the map.

The Collins Living Learning Center and The Central Neighborhood are both pretty close to the Psychology Building. The Residence Scholars is housed in Ashton Center in the Central Neighborhood. Residence Scholars is single rooms only (air conditioned, too) and cost almost $2,000 less than most other dorm rooms, and require minimum gpa and sat score to sign up for.

Collins, Ashton, and the Psychology building are on Tenth Street. Freshman year, though, you will probably have to take a lot of classes in the southern part of the campus to meet college of arts and sciences requirements.
