Agreed. If you don’t get into the school you are interested in and petition for, it is game over. IU should know you will not enroll and give that spot to someone else who really wants to go to IU generally.
But even if they are pre business, kids that meet criteria at end of freshman year can still get into Kelley. So I assume many would be okay taking that route, wouldn’t they?
Yes, true but I would think that is the least likely especially if the applicant received other business school acceptances. There is no guaranty the alternate route. You can also do that at other schools like Villanova but it is very competitive.
S24 applied to Kelly and should, in theory, be a direct admit as he meets all the requirements for it. However, he hasn’t yet received a decision.
Son’s portal just updated as admitted. No email. OOS. Lists Program: Business Undergraduate, Plan: Finance BSB. Applied in September.
Son applied end of Aug/Early Sept. OOS Admitted Program - Business Undergraduate Plan - Finance BSB. He meets the Direct Admit criteria so I am assuming this is admittance to both IU and Kelley. No email received yet. Does anyone know when financial package/merit scholarships are typically announced?
My daughter’s portal has been updated. Admitted, but no email yet. OOS. Lists Program: Business Undergraduate, Plan: Marketing BSB. She meets the criteria for Kelley DA, so we’re hopeful that she hears about that soon. She applied on 9/18.
IU will invite you to apply for the scholarship programs if it believes you meet the criteria.
All these acceptances seem to be Kelley admits without saying so until the email is sent. All business majors. Let’s keep
our fingers crossed.
Admitted today as a journalism major to the Media School
He just saw his admission on his portal. Decisions seem to come out at various times in a day as it wasn’t there even 20 minutes ago.
Could be from admissions officers in a certain region finishing up and submitting their decisions, could be in order of apps received, could be alphabetical. It’s early, be patient. I know everyone wants an answer and feels anxiety until you do when others see one but if you direct admit on stats you are virtually guaranteed university admission. I think there is a high correlation for IU on people who apply to Kelley and read and post on message boards.
Patience is not my virtue, I’m ashamed to say lol! That said, he just got his admission.
When did he apply and what major?
He applied the end of August to Kelley (Management BSB).
Has everyone thats been admitted so far applied in August?
I think so! Should we start a results only thread?
I know someone that applied late september
Son just admitted! Program: Pre Business, Plan: Business Exploratory BSB. OOS, test optional with 3.78 UW and W 4.38. Applied 9/04.
My son applied October and received his acceptance today. OOS
