Im going to be a senior next year, but I'm already looking for colleges amd visiting universities, staying in contact etc... but im highly interested in iub. I know its a big time party school and I'd like a little more info on that, how much fun, how overpowering... hows the academic reputation, sex life, safety, as much as possible about iub! Thanks

the people at the IUB forum will be better prepared to help you, OP. IUB is well respected in social sciences and languages, but it’s no slouch in STEM either.

Hello, I’m currently a sophomore in the Kelley School of Business. IU definitely has a very vibrant party scene and is located in a classic college town. It’s large enough that everyone has a place, the difficulty can be finding it. I’ve never felt un-safe at IU walking home around 3/4/5 AM, but that being said it’s a big school and has its share of crime and issues. Be smart, travel in groups, avoid dark areas etc. (common sense). Academics vary program to program, but IU is absolutely no slouch. Kelley School of Business is a top 10 undergrad business school according to US news. Psychology, Premed, Journalism, and Jacobs school of music are all very strong programs here. Overall IU has something for everyone (except engineering/architecture), and it is what you make of it.
