IUBOOS great response to the threads here at IU. Had a great conversation with the people at IU this past week. More than 50% of the students in Kelley do not get in as freshmen. So don’t let the fact that you didn’t get into Kelley as a freshman dissuade you from attending the school. Work hard as a freshman. Meet the requirements and you’ll get into Kelley. They are very straightforward. If not there are many other options at IU if that school is right for you. Remember as a direct admit you must have both the test scores and GPA, missing one or the other = no admission to Kelley but it’s not the end of the world!
@kunkun29 , If I remember correctly, from talking with my nephew, you need a 30 ACT or the SAT equivalent for DA. Period.
Retake the ACT or take the SAT for DA.
Or, as Seacoast advised, try again to be admitted to Kelley after you’re at IU.
Y
ou can pretty much major in whatever you want - except Engineering (although I hear they will have that soon!) - at IU-B, so right, don’t let that dissuade you from attending the school if you can afford it.
However - if you are only attending because of the business school, and tuition will be expensive for you, then consider another school, but otherwise, IUB is a very good university for most areas.
An option that has recently surpassed IUB for placement is Kelley Indianapolis. The salaries are indexed due to most students at Indy are from the Midwest which on average is a lower cost of living.
Good Luck!!

@BeeDAre I had ACT 28 and a 4.0. I got DA to Kelley after petition . So, guess the information has changed. But, that may be cause that I did not get a goof IUB Scholarship. So, I ahd decided to attend a Unv and get my major in Computer Engineering and come back to IUB for MBA , unless I dont get into another prestigious school.
Thanks for the replys!!!
