Indicating concentrations -- does it hurt/help chances?

I know that Brown isn’t an admit-by-concentration school, but I was still wondering if applying with a certain intended concentration in which the school needs more people helps chances. I’m not trying to get a leg up or anything, but I’m applying with an intended concentration in Literary Arts/Architecture. Here’s the thing: architecture is a new concentration, and there aren’t many students in it (proportionally speaking). So would applying with this intended concentration help in any way? Or does admissions assume that students are prone to changing their concentrations so they don’t take it much into consideration?

It might help a little – but so little that I’m not sure it’s worth spending any more time contemplating.
