inferiority complex (with ECs)

i'm not sure what i expect yall to say to me, but i guess i just want to be reassured?

so, basically it goes like this-

journalism-10,11,12 staff writer/news editor/editor-in-chief
beta club-10,11,12- member/president
nhs-11,12-member/VP

i have meetings once a week for beta and nhs, and about 10 hours a week for journalism.

in addition to the actual meetings, we do 4 hours of comm. service for both nhs and beta.

i've done a lot (150+) volunteering on my own, but it doesn't feel like enough.

i know i can't change it NOW, but i was just wondering if you could give me your thoughts on how weak this particular part of my app will be.

(by the way, im looking to apply to davidson and in-state to UNC)

You're thinking too negatively. Your EC's aren't weak- You show passion in journalism and volunteering, (no idea what beta is).

I don't think your ECs look weak. As stupak said, you show an interest in journalism and volunteering.

I have been a bit worried about my ECs as well, but I think I have finally decided that it isn't a long list, but I actually have passion in all of them.

Your ECs are quite similar to mine, and I plan on applying to UNC next year. I am currently Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Yearbook and Vice President of Key Club. Next year I will be Editor-in-Chief of Yearbook and Pres. of Key Club. I also think that I will be inducted in NHS. I really can't be involved in much more because I have a job consistently working around 30 hours a week.

anyways..... I don't think your ECs are weak whatsoever. The fact that you have 150 hours of community service that you have done all on your own is quite impressive. I think you should be fine.

Bump

(10 Char)

Bump? :(
