Does anyone know what you have to do to stay in these programs? Particularly interested in how much extra workload they add.

It's typically determined by the individual college the requirements for remaining in the program. I was an honors student and never felt like I had to add any extra workload, but then again, I was the kid that if my advisor started pushing a bunch of honors classes on me, I just said, "No, this is what I'm gonna do."

Probably why I only visited my advisor twice in the four years I was at OSU.

My son just started as a CommTech Scholar. We will know eventually how it turns out

Thanks for the replies. S got a call other night from student working in Admissions in case he had questions. He asked about honors.
