Information regarding ECs and Honors by an ADCOM

Hey, so I called them today and found some unstartling news. I found that the mere 7 slots offered for your ECs and the 5 Slots offered for your honors are the only ones that they consider seriously. I asked if I could upload a document with a more detailed resume but they said that they probably wouold not read it at all. SO yeah....7 slots for ECs? Im sure Stanford applicants all have about thirty worthy ones worth reporting so IDk what i hsould put down. Was anyone else aware of this? did anyone attach an extra resume or activities list?

For example do i put down ap scholar or National Honor Society? National Merit COmmended or a scholarship recipient of some kind? AHHHH

Put the ones that are most important to you, for both honors and activities.

would u be willing to list urs? are is that personal...i just want an example of some kind

would one have to list the number of volunteer hours that one engaged in

Yes, list the number of volunteer hours if that ranks within your top activities/honors.

You wanted an example, so mine looks something like:

Mock Trial
Science Fair
Junior Statesman of America
Environmental Club
Music
National Merit semi-Finalist
AP Scholar with Distinction
etc.

I was able to fit everything I needed to into all the fields.

I don't have a big list of ECs but I'm very very involved in mine. It's almost like Stanford wants that :P

Learn to be brief. It is a skill that will take you far in life.
