Input of alumni interviewer on admissions process

Curious if anyone has a sense of how much consideration Middlebury gives to the alumni interview.

Yes. 10char

Basically, what I've read everywhere and have experienced myself is that Middlebury doesn't consider the interview at all for admissions--it's more of an opportunity for you to learn about it than anything else. I'm an example of this because they never scheduled an interview for me (I signed up for one) and was still admitted EDI this December.

OK.. I was just bored and looking at various college data sets. I decided to compare a few years and noticed that Midd (in 04) said they didn't consider interviews at all in their admission decisions, but in 08 they are considered. Granted, it's not like they hold a lot of weight, as it's only considered. However, it might become very relevant if you are on the bubble. Being accepted EDI without an interview is not exactly a good litmus because your scores are probably at LEAST at the 75%.

YES! I felt my Middlebury interview to be really bad. When he asked me to talk about a recent event I discussed South American racial politics in ties to US-Russia relations. neddless to say, I did not think it went over well... o.o
