Hello everyone! I am a prospective student living in Egypt.
I've just received an interview offer from a Middlebury alumnus who lives in Egypt!! I am wondering if this interview offer is a good or bad sign. And, does an interviewer read interviewee's application(including essays and the EC list) before the interview?
Thank you!

With few exceptions, every applicant who lives near an alumni interviewer will receive an offer for an interview. The interviewer will only know your name, address, and secondary school. They will not have read your essay or seen your standardized test scores or transcript.

Are you a EDII applicant ?

arcadia: thanks for clearing up!!
WINGPA: YUP!

You don’t necessarily need to be an ED applicant.

If I haven’t been contacted about an interview by now should I talk to the admissions office? I live in Seattle, and a few of my friends have been contacted already.

Don’t contact admissions yet. People are still being assigned and it may take a week or two for you to be contacted.

Recently, I had my interview. …Very nice lady. She addressed all of my concerns without trying to “sell” the school. I appreciated that.

DS had an interview yesterday - very positive. Nice guy. Now we wait some more :)
