I am a freshman at University of Hartford and I am planning to apply to Gallatin for the Fall 2019 semester (first semester of sophomore year).
I have been doing research on Gallatin through various sources such as College Confidential, and came upon the forum below (see link), in which you posted.

I was wondering if can talk to you more about how you determined your concentration? On the NYU admissions page for external transfers, it says, “Use the “Why NYU?” essay to describe your interest in interdisciplinary study and your plans for developing an individualized concentration”.
I do like the ability to go beyond a major and create an individualized concentration, however I do not know what exactly I want my concentration to be. It seems as if I want to learn about many various topics and am having trouble combining them. Some topics that interest me are the study of dystopian societies, mental health in young men, fraternity culture on college campuses, LGBTQ issues, business and its relationship to society.

I’m not a huge fan of College confidential’s system because I always have to go in and check to see if I have any new notifications or messages.
