Inroads Interview

I have my first interview with Inroads this Thursday morning at their regional office. Honestly, the whole process has been a bit scattered with their new online trianing and what not, so I'm a bit lost.

What should I be expected to interview about this Thursday? Will they be similar questions to the set of Intervew Questions I had to submit after Talent Pool Training? Please let me know.

Be prepared for a 20-40 minute interview (it varies). As for questions, they are your typical "Tell me your strengths and weaknesses" and "What would your friends describe you" type questions. Prepare in advance and relax and be confident in your answers. However, dont be arrogant either. Good luck, you will do well.

They are behavioral based questions. Just give good details and relax and you will be alright. Pay attention to the feedback too, because they are the same type of questions the interviewer for your sponsor company is going to ask.

Thanks for your advice guys, it helped me expect a questions. I thought I'd performed poorly, but I was asked back for Phase II interviews.

I don't mean to be a hassle, but any help here as to what to expect now?

Also, I may not be actually able to attend the interview - will they just axe me if I can't, or will they allow flexibility for another date/phone interview?

Much thanks

Hmmm...i'm not too sure about that. i think you would have to contact them if you want to reschedule. i have my mock interview coming up on the 13th of january, and after that i can interview with sponsoring companies.

i think your best bet is to call your local office but the reason they want you to come in is so that they can prepare for live person-to-person interviews--this is for your sponsoring company in which you want to interview for.

hope this helps.

sorry to change the subject a bit, but could someone quickly tell me what inroads is.

Thanks

INROADS is a program geared towards talented minorities, helping them to break into the corporate world. If qualified, you get interviewed and then possibly selected to take part of the INROADS internship development program. Then, and only then, can you interview with sponsoring corporations such as JP Morgan and Metlife.

You can receive more information at their website www.inroads.org

I just took my phone interview, and the person who took it, told me that I will definitely get to take the regional office interview. I am just waiting for an email though.
