<p>So I have been going through chance threads and on average people have 3.99UW!! to 4.5W GPA
my school (Brooklyn Tech) barely has anyone with a 4.0 or 100 average.</p>

<p>Remember, CCers represent the cream of the college-bound crop… a 3.99 UW average would be, on a percentage basis, ~92 to me. I chanced people assuming 87 landed them a 3.6 GPA, 80 landed them a 3.0 GPA, for example.</p>
<p>On a percent basis I believe a 4.0 is 95 and up, a 90 is a 3.5, etc. but yes,like the above poster stated, CC is filled with a lot of people who are trying to figure out how to get into top schools. I’ve been on CC for a few years and it can take a hit to your self esteem but you can either give it up completely (which is difficult for me since it is addicting) or ignore it.</p>
<p>Basically what the others have said, I am a minority on CC by not having those grades (I have a 3.8uw and 4.3w, both of which are considered fairly high at my school). CC tends to represent those who aspire (and have an actual shot) at the crazy competitive schools, which of course does not reflect most students academic achievement.</p>
<p>Depends on the hs and how it weights GPAs as well.</p>
<p>CCers will always be CCers. The community here doesn’t reflect most students.</p>
<p>my sister introduced me to CC, and she’s crazy: she’s a freshman taking ap calc ab and ap physics b, she’s on all the science and math leagues/olympiads and she’s been accepted into the unofficial science elite crew as a freshman (there’s only like 3 freshman)…most of them are juniors but they willingly accepted her cuz she’s just so genius…anyway…these are the types of people on CC and it’s annoying cuz smart people with like a 4.1-4.3 gpa feel dumb on here.</p>

<p>Well firstly, everyone is correct these people represent the cream of the crop. HOWEVER, don’t be intimidated by WGPA. I have a 4.0 UW and Valedictorian in my class but that is only a 4.41 WGPA because of the weighting system. But yes most are of the cream of the crop academic students (4.0 UGPA and 2100+ SAT). Don’t be intimidated this is an unusual concentration of top students.</p>
