Integrated Studies Program

I’m currently enrolled in the ISHP program, but I’m not sure I want to maintain my enrollment.
I feel like the idea of making all the ISHP scholars live together is a bit elitist, like “here are the smart people,” and also when I visited Miller Hall the people living in it didn’t seem that fun or outgoing. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the ISHP program itself, the social scene etc at Miller Hall, and the other students in ISHP.
Thanks!

Yea, It is imo pretty elitist haha, but the perks I hear from my friend are pretty sweet, so it may be worth it. Besides, you can always make friends and hang out at other dorms, it wont be like your dorm mates you’ll HAVE to hang out with. I myself live in Kearney but barely know my dorm mates because I rather hang out in one of the older Tercero buildings (Pierce). It’s really up to you, and just because a dorm is nice doesn’t mean you will love it, in the end it’s really the people who make up the dorm that make it awesome, not perks. Oh, and my friend who does live in Miller never hangs out there, she prefers Tercero for hang out.

anyone have any idea on how good it looks on your transcript when you apply for grad school?
I’m probably looking to be premed, if that affects it at all.
And thanks for the response, I’m still hesitant on joining any kind of themed housing etc.
