Intellectual experience?

Not sure if this is completely out on a limb. I saw Desmond Tutu speak last May at MSU, and his speech and attitude in general inspired me to change the way I handle myself in the face of challenges, etc.

would this speech be considered an intellectual experience, or am I out of line here? let me know. I’d really like to submit the essay :o

Anything can be an intellectual experience. My friend used a dinner table scenario as his ‘intellectual experience’ for Stanford. It’s all in the execution. I’m inclined to believe that done carefully, the most mundane things make for the most unique ‘intellectual experiences’
