When Brown says “intellectual experience” on the first essay option on its supplement, what exactly does that entail? I have an essay written, but I don’t know if my event is exactly “intellectual”. Could someone give me an explanation for this?

we just started threads at nearly the same time with the same names… hahaha. christmas miracle

Haha, wow. A Christmas miracle, indeed. I took a look at your thread: in my opinion, that sounds like it would qualify as an intellectual experience. Of course, my opinion might be less than valid, as this thread would indicate.

Anyways, my “intellectual experience” was seeing Demetri Martin perform, which inspired me to really become more involved in comedy. I feel that my essay for this topic is very strong, and I would like to use it. What do you think?

I’m not an admissions officer, but here’s my take on this: In this essay, they want to learn something about your intellectual approach, what type of learning experiences excite you, what type of student you will be in the classroom, why learning is important to you, etc.

Chairman, it’s hard for me to see how seeing a comedian perform is an “intellectual experience.”
