<p>They will, however, evaluate you to see if your background and interests reasonably match with the second choice. For example, if you declared Engineering as your second choice, yet had taken limited math and science, your chances would be negligible.</p>

<p>Is that true that getting into Engineering school of Vanderbilt is harder than CAS Vanderbilt? So if I am rejected at CAS, the chance of getting into Engineering is very small ?</p>
