i'm applying to the Arts and Sciences school, but I put down Peabody college as my alternative. does this mean I need to write an "ACADEMICS INTEREST" essay for each school?

it does say on the application "If you are applying to more than one school, be sure to include an Academic Interest Statement for EACH school." However, because i put down Peabody as an alternative, i'm not quite sure if this means i'm actually applying to Peabody?

Well, when I applied last year, I wrote an essay for both. My first choice was Engineering (which I'm in now), and my second choice was A&S. Each was only a paragraph or two, so I figured it wouldn't hurt. I can't tell you if it was necessary though, considering I got into my first choice.

Yes, if you indicate that you have an alternate school on your application, then you need to go ahead and write an essay for that particular school in addition to your first choice.

thank you --- do you know if the same person will read both essays b/c i'm applying as a psych major for A&S but also as a psych major for peabody college...therefore my two statements will be pretty similar. also how easy is it to transfer from school to school?

What if I only apply to Arts and Science, am accepted to AS, choose to go there....but later discover that I was meant to become a teacher....can I transfer to Peabody even though I only applied to AS?

if you're applying to an alternate major, how can you fit both essays? they only give you half a page for the academic interest. i'm having major problem even fitting the one essay that i have.
