I am a singer, actor and dancer who is interested in opera, operetta and musical theatre. I want to grow in and explore all these areas in my college education. I'm curious as to what the best major/double major would be for me and what top schools would be in have these majors. I would prefer schools in big entertainment areas - California, New York, Chicago, etc. Thanks for your input!

Kayla, do a search on the musical theatre, music and theatre forums and you’ll find many schools in major cities that are sure to interest you. To start narrowing the list, you’ll need to understand what kinds of degrees the schools offer such as a BM, BS, BFA or a BA. Some of these programs may require an audition, some may not. Majors you might consider include musical theatre, vocal performance, acting, drama, dance, theatre, theatre studies, etc., but really it depends on what you want to do with it. Do you want to perform? Direct? Manage a theatre company? Teach? Also, when putting together your list, make sure to consider your academic stats in comparison with the class profiles of the colleges you are looking into. I’m sure you’ll find all the info you need on those other forums. Good luck! :)
