interesting email from Northeastern

I recieved an email from Northeastern today urging me to apply and this was part of it:

* We are urging all students to take the new SAT and the ACT with writing. Since this is the first year that the writing score will be available, we will not use a specific score in the decision process. We will, however, have access to your essays and may review these if we have questions or concerns about the essay you submit with your application or the grades you have earned in English throughout high school.

I guess schools will really will be checking essays against writing samples.

whoa... interesting..... if it's the same for the schools i'm applying to... then i'm i wont be going to any good colleges. =[

That's horrible. Why would they check a 25-minute essay? An essay that was written under those time-constraints cannot measure writing ability.

eh I got the same email too. shouldn't worry people. it's already been said they'll see our essays.
