<p>That's crazy, my class (2008, so fall '04) was 1200 people smaller than this fall's incoming class. And look at the other UCs and how large their classes are getting... SD and Irvine have surpassed UCLA in terms of freshman enrollment this year, as has Davis, while SB and Berkeley are not too much smaller. I read somewhere this trend is of growing class size is supposed to last until 2012?</p>
<p>I think the idea is to balance out some of the UCs more--spread the students more.</p>
<p>also, our year (hs '04) they deliberately cut our class size due to budget problems.</p>
<p>Ahhh I didn't know that was the case... I was wondering why our year the admissions rate was so low. That makes sense then.</p>
