Hello all. I am currently a senior at UR and this fall semester I will be taking my final language course before graduation. I’m pretty nervous about it. The reason for this is that I took first part last semester and while I did pretty good I feel like I have forgotten everything over the summer since I was vasically at the beach the whole summer. I keep telling myself I’ll be OK since I feel like any normal person wouldn’t be reviewing spanish notes over summer break. I just feel like this is the finsl hurdle I need to overcome before graduation and I want to get it over with so bad. Has anyone else gone through this?
I wouldn’t worry about it. A lot of people taking 221 will be people that took Spanish in high school, meaning there will be a bit of review. I doubt most people reviewed over the summer.
I’m a junior, but last semester, I took German 202 without taking the previous three semesters (based on placement test scores) and did fine. I’d never had any classes in the language (my mom’s born in germany), so while I could understand it, i didn’t know any of the grammar, could barely speak it, and couldn’t write.
