Internal Transfer from Dyson

Does anyone know how difficult an internal transfer from Dyson to CAS/CoE would be after the first semester/year? Would it be possible to take all the engineering pre-reqs while in Dyson so I can still graduate in 4 years? Looking to major in computer science with a minor in econ/math in either engineering or CAS.

In antiquity(when I attended) at least, the engineering college required a carefully orchestrated/sequenced grouping of foundation math & science courses. These were almost all CAS courses, so one could switch between CAS and COE early on relatively easily. But Dyson is another matter.

It might take some ingenuity to get an Ag school advisor to sign off on a Dyson freshman taking that identical course sequence, if they look at these things (I know the advisors in CAS and COE did, when I attended). A bioengineering major, maybe.

CAS might be more seemless.to transfer to, because their requirements are more in “buckets” rather than specific courses. In CAS one would typically be filling distribution requirements freshman year. With some forethought, the courses you choose to take while at Dyson could be selected to be those that would “count” towards various CAS distribution requirements. In that way, you would lose little time.

Obviouslty this speculation on my part does not replace a detailed reading of the actual requirements at each college, and the Comp sci major requirements. None of which I’ve looked at.

Thanks for the response monydad. Anyone else know anything about this potential transfer?
