Internal Transfer

I applied ED1 to the Peabody College for the HOD program. I applied because I thought the major sounded interesting and I heard that the acceptance rate for Peabody was a little higher. I now hear that the major is supposedly a joke and is looked down upon by Vanderbilt students. I also heard that the degree itself holds little weight, and that the courseload is not at all challenging.
What do I do if I feel that I made the wrong decision and that I would rather lets say go into the College of Arts & Sciences? Can I change my school before entering in the fall if I get accepted?

Nope! To combat this very problem (people applying to certain schools because they think they'll have a better shot of getting in), Vanderbilt requires that you stay in the school you were accepted into for the first year. So, provided you get into Vandy, you'll be a peabody student for your first year before you can apply to A&S for internal transfer. However, you can take A&S classes the first year provided you know what you're doing since you'll have a peabody advisor.

Also, please don't write off HOD based on hearsay. It's one of the most interesting and beneficial programs I've ever seen. So it gets looked down upon by students who have no real idea what it's about...oh well. HOD is allowing me to focus exactly on what I want to learn and the internship program is phenomenal.
