Extracurriculars (Just the main Stuff)
Chess:
I've been highly active in chess my entire high school life and captained both the female team and the B team for my school in nationwide competitions. I am currently on the A team (there hasn't been a girl on it in about 6 years). I have also traveled to trinidad to represent my country in a Caribbean Chess Festival competition. I have been the treasurer and secretary of chess club and am currently its president.

Capoeira:
I started capoeira last year and just received my second belt. I am the secretary of this club at school.

Biotechnology:
This past summer I worked for 2 months at a university studying biotechnology and growing a variety of plants including lemon grass and sweet peppers etc. I was involved in everything from initiation to decontamination and hardening and did a report about it.

Mentoring:
I am currently in my school's big brother big sister mentoring program where we help incoming students to adjust to high school life and with any problems, academic or otherwise they may be having. I also volunteered last year for a homework study program in which we helped students of the lower school who were struggling in any areas of study.

Ok I'm gonna stop here this is getting a bit long.
Please chance me for JHU, Cornell, Columbia, Yale (...yeah...) and the University of Chicago
Thanks, appreciate it.

Also received awards for my performance in CSEC and CAPE, a ton of awards for nationwide baptist church sunday school exams (placed top 3 in the island about 4 times), awards for chess form various tournaments and was selected as a motivational speaker for scholarship award winners (scholarships are to enter high school) from a certain company as I was selected as the highest achiever among those of my year who had previously received the scholarship.
