is anyone majoring in IDS and what can you do with a degree in IDS?

yes good question. i've been meaning to ask this question for the longest time. never got around to actually doing it.

Well heck, the federal agencies would just ADORE it. No joke.

I'm considering majoring in IDS, and then eventually pursuing a graduate degree in Public Health. Does this sound like a good route?

And kind of off-topic, but does anyone know what pre-req courses I'll have to take in undergrad here at UCLA for a M.P.H degree?

Many MPH programs want to see at least one class in college-level math, biology, and a health-related science. Some, including Harvard's program, require a prior graduate degree before applying.

well, i am majoring in IDS and it seems like a lot of useless courses....

i am taking Film , Sociology and IDS .
its the only major i can finish in 1 year , i take 45 units and the rest of the stuff i am taking at some other school. .. i am ending up wtih two degrees but one of them is from ucla.

I thought you were heading out?

"Useless" is awfully subjective. Remember our earlier discussion into the matter? :p

well as i said before, i speak based on my own personal views... i dont speak for others.

I was planning on leaving but since i can finish this major in one year, actually a little less than one year , it seems to be a good idea to go ahead and do that.

i am taking 14 units in winter and 16 for spring/summer, ... then i am out of here .

Malishka,

If you're speaking for yourself, it's best to say that. Otherwise, you may confuse people. Not everyone has had our conversation.
