International or not?

Hey, I'll be applying ED this fall and I've seen a couple posts about how internationals don't usually receive financial aid and it's harder for them to get admission.

so, just to clarify, does international mean you are a citizen in a foreign country or you are a resident of a foreign country? i have dual citizenship (i'm a US citizen, but i also got citizenship for another country three years ago) and i live overseas, but go to the american/international school in this country.

so am i considered a US citizen or international?

thanks in advance.

i think you count as a citizen. you are international if you dont have us citizenship and you aren’t a us permanent resident

You are an US citizen. Your parents pay tax even if they don’t live in the US. You may not be considered for any in state.

Okay thanks. Yeah, i’m not from NY anyway.
