Essays: my magic hobby, talk about the managers of the future program, my job as a programmer, my love for science and the evolution of it, setback that I had when I was hospitalized and how I over come it and my first school and its special values which he embedded in me.

I love them.

Here is a sample
As a magician you give people entertainment, an illusion. You make them ask themselves," Is this for real...am I really seeing this?"

Magic for me is like an enigma, an unsolved question , a riddle. I hate unsolved questions, maybe that is why I love magic. I ask you, what is a magician? Is he a charlatan, a pretender, a dream maker or maybe a scary crazy guy from the TV? I see a magician as an engineer, a scientist. A magician reinvents yesterday's magic and creates tomorrow's. Magicians are psychologists, entrepreneurs, creators, artists of free mind.

In the past magic was considered as wrong. Magicians and witches were held in contempt by society, outcasts due to there curiosity. Today's science is the magic of yesterday. We live in a world where fear is becoming the norm, while science and new advancements grow ever more suspect. As a magician and a scientist I promise to always ask why? when? Explore and second guess if what I am seeing is real.

No one can know.

Just curious, doesn’t everyone have to be in the IDF for a certain length of time? If so, then it can’t be considered an upper hand against all the other Isreali applicants.

Yes but being a programmer for 3 years is good experience for computer science major and it is hard to get this job in the IDF.
There is a kind of prestige for people who work in my unit…

That’s pretty cool.

With regards to your essays …
Have you already submitted them?
If not, I would strongly suggest proofreading them, or having a friend or teacher who is fluent in English look them over. There are quite a few syntactical, grammatical and punctuation errors in that extract you posted. Your ideas are interesting, but make sure you clean up your expression of them before you submit.

Thanks. :)

It will hurt my application?..
I could have sent the essays to someone to edit them but I wanted to show my real level.
I am not a native english speaker.
I know that most people give there teachers or even pay special offices to edit there essays.
Admissions offices are not against that?..

by the way I forgot to mention that I already submitted my application…
results are in by early March… scary…

I’m sure they will realize that you’re not a native speaker and won’t hold a few errors in your essays against you, as long as they understand the gist of what you’re trying to say.

But yes, a lot of times it’s a good idea to have teachers or essay services look at your essays, and admissions at any school would be fine with that, although it’s not necessary.

haha, oh well. Doesn’t matter then. Echoing eevvaann22, as long as they understand you it should be fine, and your essay sounds very interesting.
