visitor1, where are you from? Congrats for the admission! have you applied for aid at WUSTL?

Yes, I asked for fin aid. They give me 28k out of the 44k.

I forgot. I am south american.

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice :D.. what other colleges have you applied to?

omg, the emoticons are terrible? I don't have teeth like this :D.. no one has!!!??? (looks desperately in the mirror) :)

UPenn, Cornell, NU, Chicago, and UC Berkeley. I am not sure if UPenn offers any aid at all :(

yeah, I received an annoying letter telling me to reconsider applying for aid... :( at least we tried. :pat on the back:

well..Upenn happens to do that every year.. and those accepted with aid will get a very healthy financial aid package.. but the number of acceptances would be few... upenn is known for its otherwise generous financial aid once u r accepted..

SM

with ad for any international at WUSTl is kinda very impressive...

South america.. well . thats gud knwing that colleges now try to fool stats by taking in the Permanent residents and green card holders and classifying them as internationals..

SM

shhhhhhiiiit....int'ls in europe have already started getting fedexes from northwestern. If I dont get in there, iv got no chance at the other unis i applied to.

reaaaaaaally? They've already received fedexes???? Oh...my heart is starting to beat at a fast rate. I'm thinking that tommorrow is the most probable day I'll receive any news... but I'm wondering if we couldn't call them and ask. :D this would save me a lot of emotions.... we'll keep our fingers crossed, caltechops2.

besta luck !

hugs puritania. I have a bad feeling about the NU decisions...students in france and turkey have already received fedexes today

and a girl from UK received hers today. She says it's dated 20th. If that's my case(and hopefully it is)....I should received it today...oh God, maybe I'm getting my hopes up for nothing. I've just been getting some good vibes and... I don't want my 'heart to get broken again', but still, I can't help it. We'll seen.

Hope you aaaaalllllllll get in !!

Besta luck again !!

Best of luck people! :D

Rishabh16, thank a lot. I just discovered that the optional essays at JHU matter very much and since, I didn't do neither, I'll eliminate it form my list of possible acceptances. Huray, for another one has fallen! :(

Hey, you never know, puritania!!! hugs you poke Admission decisions are not a complete science!!! You could get in...

Repeat after me: You never know...

(Btw, people in Minnesota have received decisions from Carleton. I'm so going to watch the mail like a hawk next week!)

This is what Marilee Jones, Dean of Admissions at MIT, state in my rejection letter... :(

sorry for you... I think being rejected is like being dumped in a relationship: although the voice of reason accepts the situation, you are still in love and every little thing reminds you of the one that dumped you( the place where you met, his favourite colour, his favourite book, his favourite movie)... Princeton's motto, UChicago's Theatre band, MIT's AI research department..
:sigh:..I don't want to bet dumped...:)
