Oh, sorry Emils! I automatically typed it in when I saw “Math”. I’ve edited the list.
800 in Math I is very impressive btw! Even more impressive than 800 in Math II, I’d say.

I thought it would have been kinda unfair if I just put 560 without an explanation. lol

I’d say that only the most qualified internationals would come to CC, so the list’s not exactly representative of the international applicant pool as a whole.

@Herunar
Yes, of course. I guess this needs to be mentioned now and then to prevent some people from being discouraged. I remember being really depressed when I came to CC before I got my scores. lol

Yeah, that is probably true Herunar, one guy I knew from my sportclub applied to the obligatory HYPSM (nowhere else!) last year. His grades were astounding, but he didn’t know a lot about the application process, so he had no extra-curricular activities, wrote resumes as essays and had a 1700 on the SAT. I felt pretty bad for him, because he really smart and nice, but didn’t have a clue how to prepare. Without CC my application would probably have been ridiculous!

I believe more than 90 % of the Danish population has access to broadband internet, but we still administer the PBT TOEFL. It’s really a mess sending scores to colleges through mail and not being able to use the online gateway. I hope we modernise things a bit soon, this is almost embarrassing…

The TWE is a “Test of Written English”. In reality it’s almost the same as the SAT essay but with a more specific prompt.

@letsshakehands
I wouldn’t be embarrassed. PBT seems to be more objective in that it doesn’t have the highly subjective speaking and writing parts. I’m rather jealous of you because I do much better on the PBT. 113 vs 673 do not correlate as much as I’d like them to.

@Bilguun
I don’t know much about how the tests correlate, but my main problem is the way scores are handled after the test. I’ve received my scores by mail more than two weeks after they were released (compare that to the SAT’s immediate access) and have no clue whether the score recipients i faxed (compare that to Collegeboard’s online choice) have been notified. Also, 17 $ is a ripoff for additional score reports, I’m incredibly happy I only had to send two. It isn’t that much of a problem, but compared to Collegeboard’s solution and even the Common App this feels incredibly outdated.

well his grades were less than mine, I guess ec’s the same and for his essays he did the same as what you told about the guy with the resumes. He got rejected from 8 schools, but got into brown and cornell. Guess they really wanted dutch people:P

oh wow! That is actually really encouraging then! (His scores are still good, but I was afraid he might backed them up with lie published research projects or a 9.7 average or something!). I am actually a bit less stressed out now, because I thought it was near-impossible to get into any of the top schools!

I know, and I dont think I will get accepted actually into HYP stanford etc. Cornell seems do-able for me though. So i’ll just hope they will like me:)

Well, I am sure you have a great chance at any of the schools you listed, and especially at Cornell with the sort-of legacy status. Are you applying for financial aid?
