Which ones listed above are available for transfer?
I mean the chance of getting financial aids from those schools is going to depreciate if I'm a transfer?

I was warned that need-blind doesn't mean need-AWARE. In Hernandez's book she says that international students still get put into a separate pile if they're applying for FA.

Well, the financial aid deadline in places like Stanford and MIT are something like mid-Feb. So u can apply a little early, something like mid-November and hopefully wait for a mid-Jan decision. Even if you don't get one you can always send your material by the fin-aid deadline and sit back. Of course, financial aid does earn u prejudice so you have to ensure you have that 'X' factor that will make them court you.

i am an international student trying for undergraduate education to the USA. I want to know if my score is good enough to get me a full scholarship in any of the universities. If so I would like to know which colleges do and the courses they offer.

Lordsaves: I'm sorry to break the news, but no.

Hi I'm a PAkistani student and can't pay more than $3000. Could you please suggest me some colleges that offer loads of need-based aid? My scores are: SAT 1: 2110, SAt 2 Math2 -750, chemistry:780

SAT1
CR:620, writing: 740, Math: 750.

I'm seeking full aid.
Im applying to Ohio Wesleyan and MOunt Holyoke. What are my chances of getting in with almost full aid?

plus, i Need a third choice .. Any suggestions?

I won't be paying Fin Aid will that increase my chances by much?

^ Yes. Most particularly for the second-tier schools that are excellent but can't afford to be need-blind for internationals.

I live in South America, attending a private school of a very high reputation in the country, and it offers the US high school diploma as well as my country's diploma. However some of the best US universities are extremely expensive, so sometimes I think I would rather go to someplace cheaper like UCLA. My father for example, was in NYU since he was offered financial aid, but I am also interested a lot more in schools that give financial aid.

UCLA isn't much cheaper than private schools for OOS. In fact, it will probably end up being more expensive because international FA is extremely limited.

I am an IB student & will be applying to colleges in 2010; need to know about good business management colleges giving full aid

Where could a person with a master's degree get financial aid if leaving the USA to pursue a PhD in educational leadership at a university in Canada? Would a USA lending institution provide loans?

As far as application procedures go, it varies. Most schools on my list (top engineering schools, mainly) had their own form that can be downloaded from their websites. Johns Hopkins wants the CSS profile if you are currently residing in the US. UPenn wants pretty much everything - CSS, FAFSA, and their own form.

hi,

ive lived in america for like 14 years but technically im still an int'l student. my green card should be coming in some time around when i would start college (im currently a senior).

1) i plan on applying to rutgers,amherst,bowdoin,u.chicag,claremontmckenna,northwestern,oberlin,upenn,pomona,
rice, stanford, swarthmore, yale, brown. i was a qb finalist btw which is why im applying to so many schools. if admitted which schools would give me generous aid?

2) if i do get in and the school doesnt give me any aid b/c im int'l can i get aid later on after i receive my green card?

Me too.
I lived in U.S. for about 5 years now, and I'm considered as an international student because I dont have a green card yet.
But I should be getting them either next year or next next year.

Would they still allow me to apply for financial aid AFTER i attend the college if i did not have green card but have it then?

Does anyone happen to know which schools offer need-based aid to international students?
I'm aware of the 7 that offer needs-blind admissions and need-based aid but are there any that are not needs-blind?
I know about Columbia, Georgetown, UPenn, UChicago. Any others?
