I am Indian , in 11th grade. i wanted to know how good my chances were at getting into a few universities. I havent given my SAT but will get around 2200 maybe more. SAT 2 : math level 2 700+ and probably will give another and get atleast 700 in that too. My EC's : i'm writing this hastily so i may not write all.School Basketball Team (10th,11th,12th) , Church Youth Group , Actively involved in school- sports activities , part of student government , Certified First Aider by an International Body ,going to become a Certified Trainer by an International Body . Founder and Chief Editor of School Monthly Magazine these are kind of the main things..these are some of the colleges im trying to get into -Upenn , Notre Dame -Mendoza(im catholic) Amherst ,emory , univ. of south cali , Washington - Olin , Gergetown. maybe a few more. and well i need aid about 75% .

Both ND and G’town have very limited aid for int’ls.

Keep in mind that at the schools that do give FA to int’ls, the schools (not the families) decide how much aid you need.

Are you saying that your family will pay $15k per year?

Until you actually have SAT scores, it would be hard to estimate how you’d do at any of these schools.

if you do score well on the SAT, then include some schools that may give you large merit for your stats. Also, look to see what the mid-level Catholics might give you…SLU, Santa Clara, Fordham, etc.

Thank You for the reply… i actually didnt know that about the Aid thing. Well , my family cant exactly pay THAT much…i was hoping to get some private scholarships or ask a relative for the rest of the money in case i got in somewhere .

what do you mean by “well” ? could you give me a approximate number? like 2200 ?

i haven’t exactly seen many mid-level catholic schools cause i don;t think they offer aid to internationals .
